Three Ridings L C held their final trial of the season a 12 dog All Aged Stake at the superb Thimbleby Estate by the kind invitation of Mr David Dickinson.
This was the first time the estate had hosted a driven trial and David's team didn't disappoint, with some spectacular birds presented over the guns , who rose to the challenge, putting a plentiful supply of birds on the ground.
THE TRIAL
This proved a little too much for some dogs and we lost three early on. The remaining dogs were tested and given every chance to shine by the judges, who worked harmoniously together throughout the day.
By the end of the first drive just three dogs remained. At drive two, in the deep bracken covered ravine on one side and white grass on the other all three dogs were tried on a strong runner , which, unfortunately resulted in the loss of two more dogs. The final retrieve of day, again on a strong runner was successfully completed. Trial over.
