Wonderful Woodland Grange

On Sunday 17th May we held 4 different levels of working test - that was some undertaking!! We had Puppy, ND/NH, Veteran and Novice Working Tests

These Working Tests were held on a new and fantastic ground at Woodland Grange near Everingham, York. Patrick and Louise Wilkinson kindly invited us to run a competition on their 100 acres of woodland and the judges could not resist the opportunity of setting one of the tests on the lake that forms part of the Garden. Patrick went above and beyond, moving paddocks to create a great parking area, creating an exercise area and going out early to put up directional signs.

Our grateful thanks to the judges Paul Stogden, Paul Hasney, Charlotte Brown and Teresa Middlewood (who stepped in at short notice as the fourth judge)

The judges set some interesting tests, the challenge being to find areas where the host had not worked his dog and the judges definitely succeeded.

Our helpers today, Simon, Nick, George, Twigg, Tracey, Wendy, Louise, Emilia, Sandra, Tom and Brent, we couldn’t run competitions without helpers and today we had plenty with some competing either in the morning or the afternoon and then helping when not competing. A big thank you to you all.
